A senatorial aspirant, Chief Jonny Michael, has called on the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adam Oshiomhole and the National Working Committee of the party to annul the primary that produced ex-Delta State governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan as the Delta South Senatorial candidate.
He argued that the party primary was fraught with irregularities and asked the NWC to cancel it and order a fresh one, stating that he would beat Uduaghan in a free and fair contest.
Addressing journalists in Abuja on Friday, Micheal said he would contest the result of the primary in court if the party leadership failed to address the injustice meted out to him and other candidates that participated in the exercise.
The APC chieftain pointed out that the ex-governor cannot unseat Senator James Manager, the Peoples Democratic Party candidate and senator representing the zone at the National Assembly.
He explained that the people of Delta South senatorial district asked him to contest against Manager because “they were already tired of him,” insisting that he had the support of Ijaw in Delta South who he said made up the majority of the electorate in the district.

Micheal, who denied being a militant or criminal, said, “My name and other aspirants were omitted from the list even though I was cleared by the screening committee headed by former Senate President, Ken Nnamani.
“During the primary, there was no accreditation of delegates; they simply declared Uduaghan as a sole candidate. This is a disgrace to democracy.

“I am calling on the National Chairman of the party, Adam Oshiomhole, to do the right thing by cancelling the primary and order a fresh one. If the party continues like this, it will lose the general elections,” Micheal added.
