The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Chief Dennis Otuaro PhD has consulted Former President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja on Thursday over the smooth implementation of PAP.
According to source, the meeting was part of Otuaro’s efforts to engage various stakeholders for the successful implementation of the Amnesty programme which aims to foster peace and development in the Niger Delta region.
During the meeting, Chief Otuaro and Former President Jonathan delved into crucial issues concerning the Presidential Amnesty Programme, discussing strategies to enhance its impact and effectiveness. They also explored opportunities for collaboration with communities, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the programme’s objectives are met.

It would be recalled that in 2009, President Musa Yar’Adua introduced the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) with the aim of bringing enduring peace to the Niger Delta region, where Former President Goodluck Jonathan was serving as vice President at the time of granting Amnesty to the Niger Delat Militant’s.
