Akwa ibom Social Media influencer jailed for speaking up against bad governance

Young Akwa ibom human right activist and media influencer Mr.promise peter Etete popularly known as Hon.promise Etete has been jailed, on the charge of Defamation of character of Rt Hon.Uduak odudoh, who happens to be the member representing Ikot abasi/Eastern obolo constituency in the state’s house of Assembly.

Mr. promise peter Etete in his write up on Facebook said” WHO IS EVEN SPEAKING FOR US IN THE STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY??
DO WE EVEN HAVE A REPRESENTATIVE IN THE STATE’S HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY OR WE’RE HAVING A PAYROLL BOSS ACCORDING TO HIS HUNGRY MEDIA ATTACKERS?

The constituency representative Rt Hon.Uduak Odudoh has charged the media influencer to court and should not be granted bail for ridiculing him and exposing him to hatred by publishing, derogation and injurious statement on Facebook to the general public, knowing same to be false and thereby committed an offence punishable by law.

To that effect, youths of Ikot Abasi local government area are protesting that the media influencer, has been charged falsely for standing up to write and demand for a good governance from his house member, and therefore calls on a famous lawyer Barr.Inibehe Effiong to come to his aid.
