Actress Funke Akindele Loses Brand Ambassador Contract With Dettol for contravening social distancing order

Following the arrest of Nollywood and Jenifa Diary lead Actress, Funke Akindele for contravening social distancing order when she organized a birthday party for her husband, Dettol has disowned her as a brand ambassador for NCDC.

DettolNigeria in a viral tweet replied by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, stated clearly that Funke is not a brand ambassador of the NCDC.

Recall, NAIJA LIVE TV reported that a statement issued by Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Bala Elkana on Sunday said the attention of Lagos State Police Command was drawn to a viral video showing a large number of persons mainly in the entertainment industry in an Estate, along Ajah, Ibeju-Lekki axis, Lagos celebrating a birthday party organised by Funke Akindele Bello and her husband.

“Police detectives from the State CID Yaba were promptly drafted to the location. Funke Akindele was arrested. Investigation is ongoing.
