– As new President promises inclusive administration

The President of Orluzurumee Youth Assembly, Prince Collins Opurozor has said that the process that led to his emergence is purely in tandem with the constitution of the Assembly, and assured that his administration will carry everyone along in the scheme of things.

He gave the assurance while fielding questions from newsmen after a meeting of the Assembly in Orlu on Monday.

Opurozor, whose emergence as President followed the dissolution of the national executive council led by Comrade Darlington Uzoahia on allegations of incompetence, corruption and partisanship, reiterated the need for the Assembly to live up to its responsibility of defending the legitimate interest of every Orlu youth.

In his words, “We are not unaware that the Orlu Zone of today is more divided than ever. There is no roadmap for greatness. There is just so much noise, and nothing really makes sense. ”

He continued, “The exciting thing is that the youths have now got a leadership they can fully rely upon – as a partner and as a friend. This leadership will fold its sleeves up and begin to work for the greatness of our people. We will not also fail to engage those who are bent on mortgaging the aspirations of our young people. And if such engagement entails civil disobedience, you can always count on me.

“In demonstration of our resolve to restore sanity to Orlu Zone, we have in perpetuity banned the governor of the state, Chief Rochas Okorocha, from seeking any elective position in Orlu Zone. We cannot bear the humiliations he has brought to our people. The proscription of his further political ambitions has become expedient so as to save our people from being perceived a negative stereotype of some ammoral, greedy, shameless, unfeeling, disorganized and unabashedly corrupt collection of human species.”

For him, “I am not learning on the job. I have come already made, well equipped with the requisite awareness to serve and to deliver value. Like in every change, there must be some that may not be totally pleased with the intervention which has happened. I sincerely owe them a duty to extend the olive branch to them. We must work as one. No single person will be left out,” he promised.
