The most common symptom of PID is lower abdominal pain. The pain is usually crampy, dull with constant ache. It may worsen during seconds , during bowel motion or when you urinate. Some women also present with long standing fever.

PID is diagnosed through abdomino-pelvic ultra sound scan which indicates significant fluid accumulation in the Pouch of Doughlas [POD]
