Over the years, you have been God’s outstretched arms to many individuals and families within your immediate and extended constituencies. Yours is like the biblical David who was instrumental in transforming distressed men into mighty, reputable and successful personalities. Amongst several others, you raised and taught me how to be a blessing to the world. Working with you has been a pleasurable experience no one can gainsay.

Devoid of public funds, the David Lyon Foundation is a veritable platform that champions the education of indigent children, an initiative you have sustained for decades. This philanthropic disposition spoke eloquently of the statewide jubilation that erupted, and the numerous felicitations that greeted your emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) standard-bearer in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Bayelsa State.

It is against this backdrop that the leadership of our great party must be commended for availing party men and women the opportunity of determining who flies the party’s flag through the direct primary election in Bayelsa State. While appreciating the leader of the party in Bayelsa State – Chief Timipre Sylva – and the mass of APC members that made my boss their choice candidate, I admonish Bayelsans to keep faith with the incoming David Lyon-led administration.

Undoubtedly, your regime will be characteristically honest, purposeful and selfless, just as it will witness service delivery in all its ramifications. Above all, Bayelsa State will indeed become synonymous with such glory as deserving of the Glory of All Lands.

While congratulating you for the very well-deserved victory, every well-meaning Bayelsan and indeed the generality of Nigerians wish you success in the fast-approaching general election that will usher in the maiden APC-led administration into Creek Haven on Friday the 14th day of February, 2020.
