ADVERT RATE

In Ground 4 and 5 of the PDP and Atiku/Obi’s Petition at the Presidential Election, the Petitioners stated as follows:

Ground 4: “The 2nd Respondent (Muhammadu Buhari) was at the time of the election not qualified to contest the said election” (February 23, 2019 Presidential Election)

Ground 5: “The 2nd Respondent (Muhammadu Buhari) submitted to the 1st Respondent (INEC) an affidavit containing false information of a fundamental nature in aid of his qualification for the said election (February 23, 2019 Presidential Election)

From the submissions of Counsel to the 2nd Respondent (President Muhmmadu Buhari) and the 3rd Respondent, his Party, the APC, at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, both parties have failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt that President Buhari was qualified to contest the February 23, 2019 Presidential Election.

President Buhari does not possess the certificates relating to the qualifications which he claimed in his form CF001 he submitted to INEC.

The qualifications claimed by the 2nd Respondent (Muhmmadu Buhari) were: (a) First School Leaving Certificate; (b) West African School Certificate (WASC); and Officer Cadet (Whatever that means). None of the alleged certificates was attached to his form CF001 that he submitted to INEC.

President Muhammadu Buhari was not qualified to contest the February 23, 2019 Presidential Election because *he failed to satisfy the mandatory requirements of Section 131 (d) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 which provides that: “A person shall be qualified for election to the office of President if..(d) he has been educated up to at least school certificate levels or its equivalent”.*

*To be qualified, President Buhari MUST produce his Primary School Certificate or his West African School Certificate (WASC) or Officer Cadet, since those were the qualifications he claimed in his form CF001.*

*Please note that Candidates are required by law to provide the certificates listed in their form CF001, failure to do so is against the law and such candidate cannot be said to be qualified in the said the election.*

President Buhari must therefore produce the certificates he claimed in his form CF001 or #ResignNow.
