Office of the Nigerian vice president, Professor Yemi Osibanjo has released the number of beneficiaries for the COVID-19 survival funds.

In a tweet by Laolu Akande, senior special assistant on media and publicity to the vice president, he said Lagos, Kano and Abia states will get marginal increase.

He also said 13,000 beneficiaries for three months payroll will be supported per state, 2,640 beneficiaries will receive N50,000 grant for micro, small and medium enterprises as grants while 6,606 beneficiaries will receive free CAC registration per state.

In the tweet, he said 9,009 beneficiaries will receive N30,000 per artisans and transport grant per state while 2,640 for guaranteed off-take scheme per state. He added that the economic sustainability plan is in progress.

A proper analysis of Akande’s tweet would mean 13,000 times 36 + FCT = 481,000 Nigerians will get three months payroll support.
