Authorities of the Bayelsa State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a 30 years old husband for allegedly killing of his 26years old wife and burying her in a shallow grave in the kitchen of the house located at Aparama Fishing Camp, Okumbiri Town, Akassa, Brass Local Government Area of the State.

The Bayelsa Police Command, through the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Butswat Asinim, stated that Investigation has commenced into the murder of one Blessing Menaboo ‘f’ 26 years, a resident of Aparama Fishing Camp, Okumbiri Town, Akassa, Brass Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.

“The deceased was allegedly killed by her husband one Monday Uwem 30 years, at their residence at Aparama Fishing Camp and buried her body in a shallow grave in their kitchen.

“The suspect who confessed to the crime was arrested and detained for further interrogation and Investigation”.

Leadership gathered that Uwem allegedly murdered his wife and buried her remains in a shallow grave he dug in their kitchen. The incident, which occurred at Aparama Fishing Camp, was said to have unsettled the area.

Neighbors were said to have uncovered the crime, apprehended the man and handed him over to the police.
