The newly elected Paramount Ruler of Otuan Kingdom Mr. Doubiye Ogun London is at it again but this time around for attempting to stab a man with a dagger after being defeated in physical exchange of punch with a subordinate.

Investigations revealed that few years ago, Doubiye had a fight with his late son which resulted to the burning of his former resident and the son disbanded from the community by him.

Ijaw Youths Council IYC in the clan had urged the Electoral Committee ELECO to swing into action and do the needful, as stated in Section 19, subsection 1 of the Otuan Kingdom 2018 Constitution as amended.

The Constitution reads in Section 19, Subsection 1, “the Amananaowei shall be liable to be removed from office if he commits any one or more crimes or offences enumirated hereunder.”

Murder is one of the offences under listed

The clan IYC said, the Paramount Ruler throne is too dignifying to be belittled and as such the deputy Amananaowei elect should resign or be removed by the ELECO.

They called on the suspension of the fourth coming inauguration and return the candidates to the polls or let the second runner up takes over.

The deputy Amananaowei elect, Mr. Doubiye out of anxiety could no longer wait patiently for his coronation, as the date was yet to be fixed, committee yet to be set up, even though preparations were on the way, was said to have swing into action by visiting all those whom he suspected to have been responsible in stealing of properties belonging to the Kingdom.

Doubiye before leaving the resident of one of his suspect dropped a message through his wife as the suspect was not at home but the suspect getting the massage on his return home took into a reprisal visit to Doubiye.

An eye witness said, Doubiye was confronted and in the process there was an exchange of punches amongst them which now led to Doubiye carrying a dagger but was over powered by community youths.

Doubiye will now face a panel as he has gone against the rules of an high chief traditionally and morally.

It’s not yet clear if the penalty for breaking the law according to the Constitution is to give way for the second runner up in the election or to go for a re-run.

Prior to the incident, Mr. Doubiye was reported to have announced that henceforth all revenues in the Kingdom be paid to him and announced the return of all the Kingdom properties that had been stolen from the Kingdom be returned to him with immediate effect.

Doubiye was not accessible and the ELECO Chairman of the election that brought him in as Chief elect was not taking his call and was not responding to text massages as at the time of filling in this story.
