A social media aide to the Governor of Bayelsa State and the National President of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) students worldwide, Mr. Patrick M. Ipidei has apologized to the Interim Administrator, Presidential Amnesty Programme,
Major General Barry Tariye Ndiomu (Rtd).

NAIJA LIVE TV reported that the Presidential Amnesty Programme, PAP, has suspended two students (Patrick Ipidei and one Mr Etolo) from its scholarship scheme for what it described as making spurious allegations against the leadership of PAP.

In an apology letter address to Ndiomu and sighted by NAIJA LIVE TV, Mr. Patrick M. Ipidei

tender an unreserved apology Ndiomu, PAP for his spurious Facebook publication which the PAP Management found as an offensive and unruly behaviour.

“My name is Patrick Ipidei, a 400 level student of Intelligence and Security Studies in Novena University, Ogume Delta State Nigeria. I am the President of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) students worldwide.”

“It is with all responsibility that I tender an unreserved apology to my sponsor, the PAP, for my expressions via a Facebook publication which the PAP Management found as an offensive and unruly behaviour. As a Young adult, I have soberly reflected on my action which was not intended to malign the office or person of the respected Interim Administrator of the PAP, but to draw the attention of the Management of the PAP to pivotal issues affecting the welfare of the entire PAP Students.”

“As the PAP students representative, I was only trying to see how some of the challenges we face can be addressed. However, my outburst went overboard, so I am truly sorry for running faster than my legs.”

“Sir, you may recall that upon your emergence as the Interim Administrator, as a body, we made congratulatory messages through national papers, and also made publications about your vision to the Niger Delta region. Our intention is to promote your Administration and propagate your good works. So, please Sir, as a father, temper justice with mercy for to err is human. Once again, I am truly sorry for my actions, Sir.”

“As a student and beneficiary of the PAP, I promise to be law abiding and cooperate with your management team towards the achievement of your set goals. Henceforth, I will use legitimate channels to responsibly communicate with your office on matters affecting students welfare. Please forgive me for my misbehaviour, Sir.”

MEANWHILE, An embattled Beneficiary of the Schorlasyhip scheme of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Comrade Papems Peter Etolor has threatened to drag the Amnesty office and the Interim Coordinator,
Maj. General Barry Ndiomu to court over allege criminal defamation.

According to Comrade Papems Peter Etolor, the Presidential Amnesty Office defamed his person with the publication on the Twitter handle of the Presidential Amnesty Programme with his photograph attached by one Mr Freston Akpor (SA media to the Interim Administrator PAP) on the 21st January 2023, alleging that I engaged in “horrendous activities“ thereby portraying him as a criminal in the eyes of reasonable thinking people.

“I have also seen the publication made on the official Twitter handle of the Presidential Amnesty Programme with my photograph attached by Mr Freston Akpor (SA media to the Interim Administrator PAP) on the 21st January 2023, alleging that I engaged in “horrendous activities“ thereby portraying me as a criminal in the eyes of reasonable thinking people.”

“Such libellous statement is defamatory and targeted at demeaning my reputation before the public.I have briefed my legal team on the above issues and the office will hear from them soon.
