Comr. John Ndiomu has been returned elected for a second term as the bayelsa State Chairman of the State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC)

Comr. Ndiomu scored 293 votes to defeat his major contender selepreye Koin who had 75 votes.

The positions of Vice Chairman, Auditor was also keenly contested,while the  Treasurer comr. Gloria Erebi was returned unopposed in the election.

Representative of the national president NLC, Comr. Amaechi Asukuru who was the election returning officer declared the winners of the 2019 bayelsa state delegate NLC elections.

Prior to the declaration, the delegates drawn from 29 labour unions with 391 accredited voters took turns to cast ballots for the winners to emerge.

Earlier, Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State represented by the state commissioner for Labour and productivity, Chief Collins Cocordia who declared the Delegates conference open pointed out that the present administration is poised towards delivering more Democratic dividends to the state work force in partnership with the congress.

In Their separate goodwill messages, the NLC president and other stakeholders admonished labour leaders to put the interest of their followers above personal gains and build unity among the labour family.

The Newly reelected State chairman expressed happiness  for members of the congress on the outcome of the election as the major contender  selepreye Koin also congratulates the winner.

The Newly elected officers are, Comr. John Ndiomu State Chairman, Adama Perebi, Oweimo Williams,  Vice Chairmen, Gloria Erebi Treasurer, Kalama John Tonpre, and Gabriel Ayebalayifa, Auditors took Oath of office administered by the NLC National President
