According to him, in line with the NDDC Act, it was the turn of Delta State to produce the chairman, rather than Edo State where the chairman-designate hails from.
Responding, the Niger Delta youths threw their weight behind the Senator representing Delta North, Peter Onyeluka Nwaoboshi, who is also the Chairman of Senate Committee on NDDC.
The leader of the Niger delta youths, Prince Crispus Amarabhi ovoh Jr., disclosed this in a statement made available to ElombahNews.
Senator Nwaoboshi had challenged the NDDC Interim Management Committee (IMC) to substantiate the allegation that N1 billion was paid monthly to a consultant.
Prince ovoh, backing the NDDC Senate Committee Chairman, insisted that the IMC should provide the consultant’s details.
He joined Nwaoboshi in accusing Akpabio of frustrating the inauguration of the NDDC board.
He insisted that Akpabio should explain how $91 million and N6 billion in the agencies coffers was utilised.
Presently, the NDDC governing board is yet to be inaugurated as the issues raised by Akpabio are waiting to be resolved.
