“Ndiomu not working for Buhari’s interest” – Beneficiaries calls for Sack of Amnesty Boss ….Says, Ndiomu trying to cause instability in the Niger Delta

Original delegates of the Presidential amnesty programme for the Niger Delta Ex-agitators under the “Niger Delta Amnesty Delegates Network” has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately sack the interim administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Barry Tariye Ndiomu (rtd) revealing that Ndiomu is working against his vision to bequeath a peaceful Niger Delta for unassailable oil production.

The amnesty Beneficiaries in a statement Signed by the National Coordinatorb of Niger Delta Amnesty Delegates Network, Engr. Alfred Boyed Mewariwei, National Secretary, Comr. Endurance Eferusuoa and the National Publicity Secretary Mr. Oyabrade Akpos had accused Ndiomu of Delisting over 2000 original delegates of the Presidential amnesty programme.

The statement read;
“The Niger Delta has been relatively peaceful, owing to the holistic and constructive engagement with stakeholders and beneficiaries of the Amnesty Programme by Ndiomu’s predecessor, Milland Dikio (retd).”

“Few out of the spectacular achievements of Dikio were is seamless monthly payment of N65, 000 Allowance (on or before 25th of Every month) and his vision to Train, Employ and Mentor (TEM), which is designed to providing a new approach to train and empower ex-agitators. As beneficiaries of the Amnesty Programme, we were thinking Ndiomu will consolidate these lofty and ambitious plans of Dikio”

“However, it was appalling when we read on the papers of national dailies that the presidency has instructed Ndiomu to review the Amnesty Programme for a possible windown. This was a bit disturbing considering the fact that the Amnesty Programme, had given hope to beneficiaries in the Programme as some have had the opportunity to study and acquire plethora of skills. Being that said, it became instructive to note that on how beneficiaries after they have acquired knowledge with, yet no ample job opportunities to demonstrate skills impacted on us so that we can give back to a country that has invested in us massively.”

” We became apprehensive, and we started holding series of meeting, Ndiomu having being aware of these developments immediately retracted his statements that he has convinced the presidency not to terminate the Programme. We, therefore, commend Mr President for not terminating the Programme even though there are a lot of suspicious motives by the present interim administrator.”

” Ndiomu after his clandestine move to use the Niger Delta people against, Mr. President has woefully failed, he orchestrated another move of delisting more than two thousands beneficiaries in the Programme, adding that they have been empowered just to divert these funds amongst his cronies.”

” Ndiomu is not working for your interest, Mr. President, he is full of incompetence, therefore, we urge, the father of the nation, President Muhammadu Buhari to effect his sack immediately as Ndiomu is trying to promote a resurge of restiveness in the Niger Delta, particularly when one considers inflation, coupled with Russia-Ukraine war, which has made oil to be a crisis commodity.”

“So, we demand for the payment of our October and November monthly stipends, while condemning Ndiomu’s obnoxious policies. And how can Ndiomu stopped beneficiary’s monthly stipends when he just recently assumed office? “

“This is the most devilish policy and anti-progress of the Niger Delta, President Muhammadu Buhari’s policies. We are equally calling on the EFFC to investigate Major General Barry Tariye Ndiomu and unravel this level of impunity, corruption and crass incompetence of Ndiomu in the highest order.”

“It is crystal clear that Major General Barry Tariye Ndiomu came to divert funds meant for the beneficiaries of the Amnesty Programme. And we will do everything to bring him down within the ambit of the law.” The statement concluded
