Award-winning American singer, Miley Cyrus, her music crew and her family on Wednesday saw their plane struck by lightning while travelling to Paraguay.
The singer and her family were fortunate to escape after the lightning hit their plane midair.
Cyprus and her family were on their way to Paraguay to perform at the Asunciónico music festival when the incident happened.

The incident forced the plane to make an emergency landing.
Cyprus revealed the incident in a post on her Instagram account, sharing a photo of the damage the lightning did to the plane.
She wrote,
“To my fans and everyone worried after hearing about my flight to Asunción. Our plane was caught in a major unexpected storm and struck by lighting.

“My crew, band, friends and family who were all travelling with me are safe after an emergency landing. We were, unfortunately, unable to fly into Paraguay. I LOVE YOU.”
