Lagos govt asks workers from Levels 1 to 12 to stay at home for 14 days

The Lagos State government has directed workers on Grade Levels 1 to 12 to stay at home from tomorrow, Monday, March 23, till the next 14 days.

The state governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, gave this directive on Sunday, according to his Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile.

Akosile via his Twitter handle stated, “@jidesanwoolu instructs all public workers from grade 1 to grade 12 which constitutes 70 per cent of public workers to stop going to work from 23rd March, 2020 for the next two weeks after which this decision will be reviewed.

“However, all health practitioners, fire stations and every other emergency sector are not included in the directive to stay at home.”
