Kidnaped NPC Bayelsa Rep. Mrs Gloria Izonfuo regained freedom

The Federal Commissioner representing Bayelsa State at the National Population Commission, Mrs Gloria Izonfuo who was kidnapped along the East-West Road has been released from her abductors

Mrs Gloria Izonfuo was said to have been abducted on Sunday evening around the Ogbakiri junction along the East-West Road in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The Bayelsa NPC Boss was travelling to Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital, from a trip from Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State when the hoodlums struck at about 6:30 pm.

NAIJA LIVE TV reported that the kidnappers intercepted the NPC federal commissioner’s vehicle and whisked her away with her driver and maid at gunpoint.

It was also reported that the bandits also demanded N500 million ransom for their release. But it wasn’t clear if ransom was paid before her reported release from her abductors.
