Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun has been sworn-in as the 23rd Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.

Kekere-Ekun will operate in acting capacity until conformation by the Senate.

She took her Oaths around 11:38am. She’s the second female Justice to hold the position.

NAIJA LIVE TV reported that, the Supreme Court judgement that sacked Hon. Emeka Ihedioha as governor of Imo State was read by Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun. She led the 7-member panel of justices that delivered the unanimous judgement on January 14, 2020.
