The Running-Mate to the APC Gubernatorial Candidate, H.E. Chief Timipre Marlin Sylva, in the November 11th, 2023 elections, Great Joshua Maciver, has commiserated with his friend and brother, Chief Barrister S Smooth, and His Young Shoppers Dance Band of Nigeria, over the sudden demise of some members of the band in a fatal road accident on their way to Abuja.
In his condolences message signed by his Chief of Staff, Mr Timi-Igoli Timi on his behalf, Great Joshua acknowledged that the Young shoppers Band has played a significant role in preserving and promoting the Izon traditional music through extraordinary skills, artistry and beauty with so much passion and dedication.
In his words, “in this difficult time, it is important for us to remember the great joy and richness they brought to the lives of so many. Their talent and dedication will continue to be a source of solace and comfort to most of us who were fortunate enough to know them as we mourn their untimely departure and celebrate their rich contributions and profound impact on the Niger Delta region’s cultural heritage.”
The Deputy Guber Candidate who is also the Leader and Convener of Izon-Tukpa Movement, prayed God Almighty to comfort the bereaved families and loved ones left behind and grant the departed ones, external rest.
