Former American pornstar, Brittni De La Mora who was “one of the world’s hottest porn stars” before turning her life around is now going to be lead pastor at ‘XXXchurch.’
XXXchurch is a ministry that helps people overcome pornography addiction founded by Craig Gross almost 20 years ago.
Brittni De La Mora revealed that she had an encounter with the church and they helped her discover her sense of worth and afterwards helped her build a relationship with God.
Ms. De La Mora, who spent almost 10 years in the adult film industry as well as making hundreds of movies using the stage name Jenna Presley, quit in 2012 after battling drug addiction and suicidal thoughts.
“I used to be named one of the world’s hottest porn stars,” she told Barcroft Media last year.
“I tried to quit the porn industry without the help of God, and the reality is I couldn’t do it because God and porn don’t mix.”
“I used to wonder, ‘Could Jesus really love me? Because I sure don’t deserve it. I sell myself for money. How could He ever love me?”
Ms. De La Mora joined the XXXchurch and in the process of turning her life around, she fell in love with her pastor, Richard De La Mora.
The pair later married in 2016 and preached together at the Cornerstone Church in San Diego in the US.
Ms. De La Mora revealed on her website that she and her husband, Pastor Richard De La Mora “will be the new faces of XXXchurch.com”. They will take over from founder Craig Gross.
Craig Gross, who recently launched ChristianCannabis.com to start a broader dialogue about pot and faith after his own journey of healing, made the announcement last Friday on the XXXchurch website. He had led the online parachurch group for 17 years. Now, the California pastor wants to help people with weed addiction the same way he had helped people with porn addiction.
Following their latest promotion, the former pornstar wrote: “We are humbled and honoured that God has called us to this ministry, and we are so grateful that both God and Craig have entrusted us with this position,” she wrote.
“We believe that God is going to do a new thing in this ministry. There have been so many lives that have been greatly impacted by the work of the XXXchurch.com, mine included, but God is not done yet.”
