Iwoland Development Coalition (IDC), a community developmental association, has congratulated LT. General Adeosun on his promotion to the rank of Lieutenant General in the Nigeria Army.

In a release by the Coordinator of the group, Mr Kabiru Adisa(FCA) said his elevation was received with wild excitement by all sons and daughters of Iwoland who express their happiness that one of their illustrious son has attained an highly prized rank in the Nigeria Army.

He said, “We received with wild excitement your elevation to the highly prized rank of Lieutenant-General in the Nigeria Army by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Your elevation, was however, no surprise to us at Iwoland Development Coalition (IDC) because a man of your caliber and intelligence was bound to excel in your chosen career.”

He further expressed their optimism and hope that LT Gen. Adeosun will enjoy more promotions in the nearest future.

“A Lt. General position is one of the most highly prized posts in our country, both from the point of view of emoluments and the wide array of influence that comes with it. Your elevation has done us proud and as an organisation which prioritize Iwoland upliftment, IDC share in the joy of this historical moment and remain optimistic of more promotions.

Recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari approved the accelerated promotion of LT Gen. Adeosun and Maj. Gen. Biu on Tuesday on the recommendation of Buratai.

The recommendation and the promotion was in recognition of their achievements in the fight against insurgency in the northeast.

Lt.-Gen. Adeosun is the Army Chief of Training and Operations, while Maj.-Gen. Biu is the Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division and Commander, Sector 1 Operation LAFIYA DOLE Maiduguri.
