
Following the demise of His Royal Majesty King Godwin Gurosi Igodo, KSP (JP), Ogbotom Edede (V111) Ebeni- Ibe of Atissa Kingdom and former Chairman of the Bayelsa State Traditional Rulers Council; Hon Alfred Egba, Federal Commissioner Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal commission, has extolled the virtues of the late King as a unifier, peace builder, harbinger of truth and love and custodian of the customs and tradition of the Atissa kingdom. He made this remarks when he paid a condolence visit to the family of the late monarch.
The Federal Commissioner who was received by members of the family led by the eldest son, Dr. Tariye Igodo, signed the condolence register as mark of honour and homage.
In his message to the family: he implored members of the family to uphold the legacy of their patriarch, and that the late King did not impact on his immediate family alone, but the entire people of Epie Atissa twin kingdoms and Bayelsa state at large.
Hon Alfred Egba did not hesitate to recount his positive interactions with the late King as he always received top notch advise when consulted on matters directly related to customs and tradition.
The Federal Commissioner has promised to be part of the plans that will give the late monarch a befitting funeral.
