Gunmen abduct four Setraco road construction workers in Delta Ijaw community

Gunmen have abducted four Setraco road construction workers in Torugbene in Burutu LGA of Delta state.

Public Relations officer of the Company Mr. Afuruku Robert confirmed on phone conversation with reporters in warri yesterday.

According to him, ”This afternoon the hoodlums attacked the site in Torugbene community around 1:35pm in the day and four workers were were abducted at gun point after sporadic shooting into the air and drove away in speedboat to unknown destination””

Insecurity in the Delta Ijaw waterways is on the increase as kidnapping is on daily basis. Last week, the medical director of Torugbene general hospital was abducted and released after undisclosed payment of ransom.

When called to confirm the Delta state Police commissioner, Mr. Hafiz Inuwa, his phone was ringing without response.
