A renowned non governmental organization (NGO) has warned the Nigerian judiciary not to be used by former Gov Dickson Seriake as his personal political tool against democracy and popular contest.
The leader and Coordinator of the group, Comr Owei Fano made the call in Yenagoa shortly after another purported shameful black market judgement said to have disqualifying Rt Hon Peremobowei Ebebi, the APC candidate for the Bayelsa West senatorial Bye Election and further ordered for his arrest on grounds of gross criminality.
That the attempt to run from a popular contest is as a result of judicial rascality and a huge joke of the century by Dickson and his cohorts, that it’s laughable though very worrisome, because it has become a business as usual to Dickson Seriake and some bad eggs in the judiciary.
He further stated that Dickson’s PVCs and the entire PVCs to win Election is now with the judiciary, that he banks on only the judiciary to win Elections in Bayelsa State and not the electorates again.
He warned those judges who are bent on bringing the judiciary to the mud with reasons of greed known to stop henceforth, else the group will be compelled to protest against this evil.
Tribunal Judges confirmed that, investigation confirmed that Bayelsa State deputy governor mutilated his certificates but, still gave judgement in favour of him, appeal court judges confirmed the mutilation with the proven investigation but still gave judgement in favour of him, Dickson Seriake is walking freely after keeping the state bankrupt and still wanting to go for Senate. Dickson has multiple names in his certificates, got his LLB before SSCE and GCE, he has no primary school certificate but, the Nigerian courts sees nothing wrong with it but, the supreme Court of Nigeria hurriedly gave judgement against Degi and APC without investigations and fair hearing.
The group also called on the presidency to immediately carry out an investigation into the Nigerian judicial system due to the alarming rate of corruption that has remained a threat to democracy.
The coordinator further called on the Attorney general of the federation, Chief judge of Nigeria and the president of federal republic of Nigeria to immediately step in before things get out of hand that ,this is becoming a national concern therefore needs an urgent attention by the federal government to flush out the bad eggs and sanitize the Nigerian judicial system to save the country from shame.
Conclusively, the group is using this podium to call on the leadership of APC both at the state and the national to live up to their responsibilities to avoid repeating the same mistakes.
He admonished and thanks every supporters of Rt Hon Peremobowei Ebebi, encouraged them to be resolute and assured them of victory at the poll because, it is known that Dickson is not a match to EBEBI in any poll.
