Gov. Diri has appointed Fifteen person from Bayelsa East In his New Media Team – Spokesman, Daniel Alabrah claims

The Chief Press Secretary to the governor of Bayelsa state, Mr Daniel Alabrah has today hinted that Bayelsa East Senatorial District is well represented in the Bayelsa State New Media Team appointed by the state governor.

Mr Alabrah revealed this in a comment response to Mr Sam Patrick Dogitimi who has through a series of Facebook posts decried the exclusion of Brass indigenes from the sixteen man social media aides to the Bayelsa state governor.

Note that earlier this month, a sixteen man list of the Bayelsa State new media team to act as social media aides to the Bayelsa state governor, Senator Douye Diri was making the rounds on the Bayelsa state social media space.

A lot of reactions followed the release of the list as notable members of the People’s Democratic Party’s social media actors from Ogbia, Nembe and Brass Local Government areas of Bayelsa state were missing with the entire Bayelsa East Senatorial District having a single representative from Nembe Local Government Area.

More reactions sailed the Bayelsa state social media space yesterday when the state government appointed Mr Samuel Kolawole as Coordinator of the New Media team of the state government with five members of the team being promoted to the position of Senior Special Assistant to the state governor on new media.

In one of his Facebook posts while reacting to the new development, Mr Sam Patrick Dogitimi, a loud voice in the All Progressive Congress said;

“Over fifteen Special Assistants and about five Senior Special Assistants on New Media, yet no single one from Brass LGA. Na God go judge una oh!!!”

He made a follow-up post earlier today which read

“Douye Diri may be more nepotistic than Dickson. About 20 persons appointed as New Media Aides. Yet Bayelsa East got just one slot. This is nonsense!!!”

This prompted the Chief Press Secretary to the state government to rebuff the claims, describing the allegations from Mr Sam Patrick as “a lie from the pit of hell”.

“This is a lie from the pit of hell. Stop the wicked propaganda. The election is over. FYI, Bayelsa East has no fewer than 13 persons as New Media aides to the governor”

Mr Sam Patrick in another challenging statement in what had become a heated discussion again said ;

“Daniel Alabrah, That’s a lie from the pit of the real hell where satan resides, Mr. CPS to the Governor. Am fully aware of what is happening. I am concerned about those who had been appointed so far, and in the appointments only a single person hails from Bayelsa East. You can only make such claim when your so-called list sees the light of the day. For now, only one New Media aide is from the Eastern part of Bayelsa. We are no fools Bros. Tell me the government is working towards making additions and not lie blatantly that we already have over 13 appointees from Bayelsa East. Our ears are on the ground. We only chose not to worry about the polity for obvious reasons”.

“Meanwhile, it is your duty to show me an announcement or appointment letters showing the thirteen appointees before yesterday. We are no fools”.

Calls are being made for the Chief Press Secretary to the state governor to make the list of members of the new media aides to the governor from Bayelsa east senatorial district public.
