The Nigerian Senate has automatic employment for Nigerian students, who finished with first-class degrees in tertiary institutions.

This was revealed at the House, when Chinedu Martins, representing Ahiazu/ Ezinihitte Mbaise Federal Constituency in Imo State, moved for the motion.

According to the lawmakers, it would help the country retain its brilliant people, to make meaningful contributions to the nation’s development instead of them leaving the country in droves.

The House, therefore, adopted the motion and urged the Federal Ministry of Education to liaise with relevant government agencies to ensure employment for first-class graduates of Nigerian institutions.
