Ex-militant leaders writes PMB over N263b illegal oil deal, exonorate Ocean Marines, Okunbo

Ex-militant leaders from the Nine States of the Niger Delta region have sent a protest letter to President Muhammadu Buhari over the alleged shaddy deal of N263billion illegal oil bunkering and pipeline vandalisation deal in thr region, exonorating an indigenous oil merchant company, Ocean Marine Solutions Company Limited owned by High Chief Dr Captain Hosa Okunbo.

According to the Ex-militant leaders led by Ex-militant leader, Gen Fiawei Pathfinder popularly known as Gen. Osama , said the preliminary investigations conducted along the creeks and waterways of the region showed that the alleged involvement of the the executive Chairman of Ocean Marine Solutions Company Limited High Chief Dr Captain Hosa Okunbo was politically motivated and a smokes screen by criminals to cover their tracks.

The Ex-militant leaders, in the statement signed by Gen. Fiawei Pathfinder popularly known as Gen. Osama,stated that President Muhammadu Buhari and the management of Nigerian Port Authority (NPA) with the necessary law enforcement agencies to ignore and disregard cheap public blackmail and humiliation sponsored by some set of criminally minded persons against the good image of high chief Dr Captain Hosa Okunbo and to drag the reputation of the Ocean Marine Solutions company to the mud.’

‘It is high time we need to take a drastic decision and put an end to this pulling down syndrome against our Leaders in the Niger Delta region and the Anti Pipeline Vandalization /Oil Theft & Illegal Bunkering Volunteer Group will not fold his hands and allow any group of persons to rubbish or dent the good image of high chief Dr Captain Hosa and will not tolerate any politically motivated allegations to marline the chairman and the management of Ocean Marine Solutions company that has build a transparent track record without any corruption toga in the operational services of the Ocean Marine Solutions in the oil & gas sector over the years:.

‘It is on record that high chief Dr Captain Hosa Okunbo contributed immensely towards the existing peace in the creek been enjoyed by this APC led federal government and it is also on record that captain Hosa Okunbo sacrifice his life in rallying round the traditional rulers of Niger Delta region and speak with all well meaning genuine agitating militant groups in the creek to halt their sword and give peace a chance wish led to the ceasefire for dialogue with the federal government that brought about the existing peace in the creeks of Niger Delta region and the good role and selfless sacrifices contributed by high chief Dr Captain Hosa Okunbo can not be over emphasized.’

‘Furthermore it is on record that the operational services rendered by the management of Ocean Marine Solutions company as an indigenous company in the oil & gas sector that has a broad base platform and strict responsibilities is to collaborate with the Nigerian Navy to protect all operational vessels coming into the Nigerian Water Ways from outside the country and within the Nigeria waters and to safeguard the Oil facilities and the Oil Platforms in the high sea in the Niger Delta creeks and across the Nigeria waters and to enforce strict compliance of the maritime laws and safety regulations of NIMASA guidelines in the Nigerian waters and the services of Ocean Marine Solutions company has improved the maritime security in the Nigerian waters over the years transparently without any corrupt case.’

‘We as a group made up of ex militants want to state here categorically that the operations of Ocean Marine Solutions company has reduced the incessant armed robbery/sea piracy attacks of vessels in the Nigerian waters drastically, OMS operations also stop the over bearing issues of proliferation of illegal arms importation into the country through the Gulf of Guinea into the Nigerian waters and also it is on record that the security services rendered by the Ocean Marine Solutions in patrolling the Nigerian waters constantly has reduced the issues of militant attacks of vessels and oil facilities in the high sea’

‘And therefore we are bold to state that the operations of Ocean Marine Solutions company has improved the increased the current production of crude oil in the creeks from 900 barrels daily to 2.2 to 2.8 million barrels daily wish led to the growth of the economy of the country due to the Ocean Marine Solutions Pipeline Surveillance Contract job handled by OMS in engaging ex militants and oil producing community youths in the creek of Niger Delta to secure the Nation Oil facilities and the pipelines transparently.’

‘To this end the group want to use this platform to call on president Muhammadu Buhari as the commander in chief of the federal republic of Nigeria and the management of Nigerian Port Authority to re appoint the contract services of Ocean Marine Solutions company in the area of collaborating with the Nigerian Navy in safeguarding and patrolling the Nigerian water ways and enforcing the safety laws of NIMASA in the water ways for the interest of peace and stability in Niger Delta waters and across the Nigerian waters.’

‘Therefore the leadership of Anti Pipeline Vandalization/Oil Theft & Illegal Bunkering Volunteer Group, which is made up of ex- militants leaders in the creek of Niger Delta has condemned the purported sponsored politically motivated false allegations of N263 billion naira fraudulent issue as the the hand work of mischief makers cheap blackmailers and criminal elements whose business in stock is to fabricate fake news and to blackmail men of integrity with false allegations in other to butter their daily bread wish has been the business of this known personalities and therefore we called on president Muhammadu Buhari and the general public to ignore and disregard such false allegations..’

‘And as ex-militant groups in the Niger Delta we throw our weight behind the Chairman of Ocean Marine Solutions Company High Chief Dr Captain Hosa Okunbo for his tireless efforts towards building peace and creating employment generation in the creeks and we want to use this medium to warn all those who are behind this false allegations that is wanting to dent the good image of Captain Hosa should retrace their steps if not we are going to declare war against them and tag them as enemies to the existing peace and development in the Niger Delta.’
