Godwin Emefiele of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has gotten the go ahead to contest the 2023 elections.
A judge in Kwale, Delta State, ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to prevent Emefiele from running for president while still leading the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Justice Daniel Maidoh said an application seeking to restrain INEC and CBN from frustrating Emefiele’s quest to obtain the ruling APC’s presidential ticket “has merit.”
