The Former Governor-elect and Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 Governorship election in Bayelsa State, Chief David Lyon has distributed flood relief materials worth millions of naira to victims of the 2022 ravaging flood cross the 8 LGA’s in the State.
represented by the coordinator of Better Bayelsa project, Hon. Indutimi Komonibo hinted that the relief materials was provided towards assisting in ameliorating the plight of flood victims in the state. He also said that every affected victims will not be exempted, including those who are living with disability, non-indigene among others.
Speaking with NAIJA LIVE TV, on behalf of the David Lyon Foundation, Mr Tarakiri Ogboin disclosed that the relief materials was provided for humanitarian purposes, insisting that all materials will be distributed to affected victims and other IDP camps across all the 8 LGA’s in the State.
The distributed items include 2000 pieces of 50kg bags of Rice, 2000 bags of Beans, 2000 bags of Garri, 1000 Bags of Salt, 3000 cartons of Indimie and 2000 bags of table water.
