Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court in Lagos yesterday ordered the Department of State Services and the Inspector-General of Police to appear before it on September 4 over the arrest of Omoyele Sowore and others in connection with the August 5 #RevolutionNow protest.

The court said the DSS and the IG must appear before it to give reasons why it should not order them to immediately and unconditionally release Sowore and the protesters.

The ruling by the court followed an ex parte application filed by Olukoya Ogungbeje, on behalf of himself and others who participated in the #RevolutionNow protest
