Couple arrested trying to sell own baby for N.3m In Anambra

The Anambra State Police command has arrested a couple that conspired to sell their son for the sum of N300, 000.

In a statement issued to newsmen in Akwa on Saturday by the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Haruna Mohammed, the couple were arrested at about 2: pm on Tuesday.

The couple Chinonso Anyanwu, 32, and his wife, Oluebube, 20, are from lbiasiegbe in Imo State. The police spokesman said they conspired to sell their baby boy to  one Sandra Odimege of Umuezike, Amorka of Ihiala  Local Government Area  of Anambra State.
