A housewife, Veronica Mohammed has been apprehended by personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for allegedly stabbing her husband to death out of jealousy in Nasarawa State.
The 20-year-old woman, who hails from Keana Local Government Area of the state, was paraded on Thursday at the NSCDC Command Headquarters in Lafia, the state capital.
It was disclosed by NSCDC Commandant in Nasarawa, Mahmoud Fari that the woman stabbed her husband, Anyrakwo Egwa Mohammad on the chest and the victim was confirmed dead after being taken to the hospital.
The commandant pointed out that the command was investigating the incident and the suspect would be brought to book sooner rather that later.
Veronica who has a two-year-old daughter and is two months pregnant had confessed to perpetrating the crime.
