COBOM Reacts on the Postponment of 2019 Elections: Urges Buharists to remain focused and Resolute

The National leadership COBOM headed by its National coordinator  Comrade Augustine Esiekpe regrets to announce the postponement of the 2019 elections after much sacrifices and commitment of its members and other ardent supporters of Buhari who travelled far and near with their personal  funds to their polling units for the patriotic reason of casting their votes  in support of President Buhari’s reelection bid.

It is to be recalled that President Buhari has in many occasions openly stated how Nigerian democracy is on serious threats because of the desperation of a cabal mostly in PDP who want to criminally compromise INEC and security agencies, sponsor violence and killings in a bid to discredit the electorial process. After failing in their initial antics,  their last resort is to discredict the electorial process and cause the intervention of international community with the evil motive  of calling for the formation an Interim National government to enable PDP to finalise their rigging plans and manipulate the electoral process for an easy come back to power. Dissapointedly, the international community is part of this plan as such criminal plot in conspiracy with PDP will offer them oppurtunity to sell arms and have access to our natural resources as the case of Lybia today

The Buhari/Osinbajo APC led Administration is committed to a free, credible, fair, and transperant elections. To show their disposition for a free and fair election, Buhari and Osinbajo had already moved to Daura and Lagos respectively to cast  their votes because of their determination to keep to the election date. The president was bewildered as other Nigerians when he received the shocking news of the postponement of the 2019 elections  

The PDP came to terms with their inevitable defeat and resorted to embarass the country and international community by discredicting the electorial process. Despite security information by NIA, the President resisted all advice to postpone the election until INEC acted on the available information and in excercise of their constitutional right to postpone the election and save our democracy

No one worth the blood of Nigerians. The pre-elections days have been marred by insecurity, burning of some INEC offices across the Nation, frustrating INEC attempts at the distribution of materials and other logistics. Security information has it that PDP released billions of Naira to some INEC Resident Electorial Commissioners, some security agencies, thugs and assassins to discredit the electorial process. This is one amongst other strategists they developed in their Dubia meeting

Security information has it that some Resident electorial commissioners in different states have been compromised by PDP. These compromised Resident electorial Commissioners manufactured the list INEC staff inclusive of INEC adhoc staff to write results in favour of PDP. In due time relevant security agencies will release names of the criminal activities of infiltrated INEC staff as details of their transactions have been adequately tracked by relevant intelligence agencies. Recall how the CJN was in the same conspiracy with PDP and how his account was tracked by intelligence agencies

Besides logistic issues as complained by INEC, desperate politicians have also began attacks  in most states of the Federation to disrupt the peaceful conduct of the 2019 elections. These politicians are taking advantage of the Security challenges in the country and the lack of security personels and equipments to pepertrate their neferous plans 

Buharists must not give up at this point that our collective efforts are needed to save Nigerian democracy. We must not be discouraged but be more sacrificial because of the task ahead. PDP acknowledges the massive support for the reelection bid of President Buhari, their antics is to discredit the electorial process or cause violence in a bid to cause voters apathy. 

This moment is a time to be more resolute, ressilent and sacrificial in our mission to safe Nigeria from sons of perdition desperately wanting to manipulate the electorial process to come back to power or  destroy Nigeria
