President Muhammadu Buhari Yesterday shocked the duo of Osun outgoing governor, Rauf Aregbebsola and Gboyega Oyetola when he pointedly declined any interference in Osun Election Tribunal
A top placed source said the President chided Aregbesola and Oyetola for messing up governance in Osun and for dragging his name in the mud by the handling of the Osun Election.
The President was reported to be angry that a governor who ruled for eight years had to be so openly supported at the poll, warning the duo that he would not interfere in the ongoing judicial challenge.
The President reportedly told the duo that he has no problem with the Adeleke family and that he is not ready to further offend People of Osun state by granting request to intervene in the tribunal process.
“I need the vote of Osun people and I will get it even if the Adelekes are in charge. I will allow rule of law to prevail at the tribunal”, the President was quoted as saying.
