BREAKING: Timipre Sylva Joins Bayelsa State Gubernatorial Race, Picks Nomination forms

Timipre Sylva, a former governor of Bayelsa State and the minister of state for petroleum resources, has entered the contest for the governor’s position in Bayelsa state.

According to rumors, the former governor’s nomination and expression of interest forms for the All Progressives Congress were acquired for N50 million by friends of the minister.

The aforementioned pals reportedly visited the APC national secretariat on Monday to pick up the candidacy form.

In 2019, Sylvia was named Minister of State for Petroleum Resources after serving as governor of Bayelsa State from 2008 to 2012.

The state’s governor will be chosen on November 11, 2023.
