ADVERT RATE

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, on Monday, ordered the immediate deployment of SWAT Officers.

Recall that the Nigerian Police Force had replaced the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS with the Special Weapon and Tactical Team, SWAT following the call for its end across the country.

SARS was disbanded due to brutality and extortion of Nigerians.

The brutality perpetrated by the unit had led to a widespread protest tagged End SARS.

The IGP directed SWAT Officers deployment for routine patrols across the country.
