Bayelsa New Assembly Speaker Dissolves all Political Appointees of Former Speakers ….Performs First Assignment

The Newly elected Speaker of the 6th Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tonye Emmanuel Isenah has ordered the immediate dissolution of all political appointees of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.

The order was the very first official duty performed by the new Speaker immediately after taken the oath of office and presided over the proceedings of the house.

Rt. Hon. Tonye Emmanuel Isenah who represents Kolokuma/Opokuma Constituency-1 takes over from Rt. Hon. Konbowei Benson, the longest served and immediate past Speaker of the 5th Bayelsa State House of Assembly.

Until his assumption of office as Speaker of the 6th Assembly, Rt. Hon. Isenah was Chief Whip of the 5th Bayelsa State House of Assembly.
