ADVERT RATE

The campaign organisation of the former Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri has slammed some Chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over their alleged engagement in paid and fraudulent act of endorsing aspirants outside their political parties.

A group of politicians under the PDP known as the Bayelsa State stakeholders Forum led by Chief Alex Ekiotene had on Monday reportedly backed one of the APC Governorship aspirant, David Lyon, for the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

But the campaign organisation of Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, through the Director of Media and Publicity, Hon.Perez Peretu, described the action of the Elders as laughable and ridiculous as it is coming from the PDP members.

According to the Lokpobiri campaign organisation, the action of the Bayelsa PDP chieftains only showed the level of desperation for quick cash and cheap means with which endorsement are bestowed on politicians within and outside the PDP’

The group called on the supposed PDP chieftains to concentrate on the divisive activities ongoing in the PDP and not waste their time and money paid them to cheaply rate aspirants that are known to posses low ccapacity and experience in Governance of a state such as Bayelsa’

‘Though ,we are not going to join issues with these elders because we know that after the emergence a truely acceptable candidate such as Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, they will have no choice but to join the boat of the APC and recover the state to the path of glory and proper development’

‘We are calling on the supporters of our party, the APC, not to be deceived by paid endorsement valour as practices in other political parties but take a close look at capacity, composure and ability to deliver without being tele-guided by unseen hands.’
