The Paddle of the Niger Delta, Chief Barrister S. Smooth, had suspended all musical engagements and cancelled bookings till further notice to mourn the Ijaw musicians who died in a fatal accident on Sunday.

The music legend regrettably apologized to the public and clients for the decision to do so and thanked his fans, colleagues and well wishers for standing by him in this particular time.

He also used the medium to tell the public to beware of scammer pastors who uses edited write-ups alleged to have warned about what happened, explaining that their mission is to scam unsuspecting individuals and asked the public not to fall a victim.

“We regretfully wish to apologize to our esteemed followers, clients and business associates that we will not be able to accept any booking for events right now till further notice due to the presence situation on ground.

“We wish to mourn our colleagues who just passed away in a ghastly motor accident. And we will like to use these opportunity to thank our fans, colleagues, friends, brothers, sisters and well wishers for their support and prayers.

“We have also noticed that some people are parading themselves as pastors with different fake re-edited publications claiming to have warned us about this predicament.

“We wish to let the general public to know that these people are scammers trying to use this situation to scam people, please do not fall for them. Thank you as you continue to pray for us,” he said.
