Yesterday, NaijaLiveTv brought you a report that there was pandemonium at PDP Secretariat as policemen fired gunshots to the air following a riot that broke out during Abubakar Atiku’s submission of nomination form.
It has however been revealed that the riot broke out because President Muhammadu Buhari’s supporters invaded the place and started shouting ‘sai Baba.’
The chants led to riots, as Atkiu’s supporters picked offence, leading to a clash that the Police resolved by firing gunshots into the air.
According to a prominent PDP member who witnessed the occurrence and spoke to to Our Political Correspondent, “It is true that there was crowd trouble but it worsened when some unknown men emerged from nowhere, brandishing machetes and shouting Sai Baba.”
“It was totally unexpected; it caused a riot. The only way the Police could have quelled it was to fire gunshots into the air.”
