Ambode’s Vain Pontification On APC Constitution Provisions And Other Matters

The embattled outgoing Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode ruptured my much cherish Sunday afternoon rest. When I got the information that he would be addressing the press on his almost eloped second term, I suspended sleep and other chores to listen to the conquered emperor.

It smacks of barefaced deception and lack of honour for Ambode to allude to supremacy of the rule of law and the provisions of his party (APC) constitution 2014 as amended. Ambode is a tyrant and an apostle of illegality .

The governor’s high-handedness is legendary. The weeping governor who wanted to benefit from law and order had suddenly forgotten how he had repeatedly desecrated the temple of justice.

The same man who wanted the party constitution to be sacrosanct imposed his men in the local councils hoping that they would help him in time of trouble.

Again, the fake prophet of rule of law sponsored protests, rallies and harassed the immediate past National Legal Adviser, Dr Muiz Banire, (SAN) who fought for the enthronement of rule of law as against the rule of man.

Ambode’s Chief Press Secretary, Habib Haruna even wrote press statement on behalf of anti-Banire protesters. It is shameful that Ambode is whipping up sentiment over his predicament which is self-inflicted. Yes, self-inflicted ! Ambode does not deserve any sympathy because he is vindictively wicked. I am of a strong opinion that God is fighting on behalf of those he had ‘beheaded’.

Is not amazing that Ambode who used to boast that he was untouchable and he even gloated over predicament of those he unceremoniously sacked by saying, ‘ I have chopped off his head’ could be lamenting before the world.

The governor should be prepared to bite the bullet tomorrow by testing his popularity among the party members. He is afraid of the repercussion of his misdeed that is why he resorted to personal attacks on Babajide Sanwo-Olu. He should save his graveyard allegations till after tomorrow.

Ambode’s allegation that Sanwo-Olu spent fake dollars in a US night club and the mental illness allegation could not wash and stand the scrutiny of thorough observation. The same Sanwo-Olu is the boss at Lagos State Property Development Corporation, an agency under Ambode’s government. Why did he keep the man in office if he was aware of these weighty allegations?

The governor seems to have forgotten so soon how he was disgraced out of the civil service because of fraud he committed, which was later converted into retirement because by a benevolent former Governor Babatunde Fashola.

Governor Ambode lied that he his government has been people friendly. Would a people friendly government hike Land Use Charge by 400 percent?

Would a people-centric government disband the PSP waste managers and brought an incompetence Visionscape . The People narrowly missed outbreak of epidemics.

Ambode should tell us about the poor people he unjustly sacked in Aja community. And also ordered security agents to unleash terror on them when the came to protest at his office in Alausa.

Governor Ambode should stop over heating the polity and stop behaving like a baby. The judgement day is tomorrow.
