ABAK: Oku Abak Community of Akwa Ibom State has thrown their weight behind the All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Assembly candidate, Barrister Emmanuel Udosen as their bonafide candidate in the forthcoming general elections next year.
The support by the community took place in Oku Abak at the weekend July 23, 2022 by the Village Head, Eteidung Aniefiok O. Udoma and his Secretary, Pst. C.P. Obong before the mammoth crowed of well wishers.
The Oku Abak Village (Development) Council described the House of Assembly candidate, who was former Chairman, Transition Committee of the Local Government Area, as a pragmatic leader, whose tenure was marked with superlative performance.
The Community also used the ocassion to honour the House of Assembly hopeful with the Chieftaincy title of Obong Iberedem Oku-Abak Village, declaring their undiluted support for his aspiration.
According to them, “the good people of Oku Abak in conjunction with the Village Council, through the Village Head, Eteidung Aniefiok O. Udoma write to honour you with the Chieftaincy title of Obong Iberedem Oku-Abak.
“The honour done you this day, is in respect to your unalloyed support to the people of Oku-Abak and the entire Abak Local Government Area, arising from your leadership style and quality.
“That at the instance of your aspiration therefore, we are in support of you as our bonafide son, as we pray the Almighty God to lead you”.
Barrister Emmanuel Udosen, in his response expressed appreciation to the Village Council for recognizing his contributions to the development of the community and the local government in general saying that, the gesture would ginger him to do more in his future political endeavors.
He thanked them for the honour and prayed God to embolden them to remain united in their support for his House of Assembly endeavours.
