The ambition of Otunba Bamidele Akingboye to defeat the executive governor of Ondo State Rotimi Akeredolu has received a massive boost as the Ondo State Hausa community recently endorsed his candidature to become the next governor of Ondo State in 2020 election, even as they pledged their support and readiness to work assiduously for his success at the poll.
The Hausa community disclosed this on May 29, 2019, during a gathering to break the Ramadan fast organized by the governorship aspirant in his hometown Okitipupa.
Akingboye maintained that the gesture was a demonstration of his love for Islam and to bridge the gap between Christians and Muslims in the state.
He disclosed that if elected as governor, his administration would give maximum support to the Hausa community, while promising to continually celebrate Ramadan with them.
Akingboye added that the contribution of the community to the development of Ondo State cannot be overemphasized and therefore assured them of sound security of lives and properties.
