The Federal Government of Nigeria has during its last Federal Executive Council, FEC meeting held in Abuja has graciously approved a surveillance contract for the protection of Oil and Gas Facilities in Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State.
The contract which was approved for Ex-militant leader, Gen. Godspower Kokeme has a mandate to oversee activities on Ogulagha, Obotobo 1, Obotobo II, Sokebolou, Yokri communities all in Ogulagha Kingdom with particular regard to safeguard Oil and Gas installations.
The contract had also empowered Gen. GKD to curb illegal bunkering activities that may be taking place in the area.
However, his work to safeguard the facilities in the Kingdom will take immediate effect shortly after the inauguration of the piloting committee that will be taking place next week in Abuja.
Meanwhile, It would be recalled that the contract for the protection of Oil and Gas Facilities and the curbing of illegal bunkering in the area would last for a year.
