An elderly couple has become an overnight sensation following their colourful marriage during their golden years.
Kwaku Gyamfi who is still youthful at 80 and his 78-year-old wife Adwoa Asantewaa got married on Saturday, July 13, in Ghana.
According to radio station Peace FM’s Michael Akrofi, the couple dated for more than two decades before deciding to settle down and be in each other’s lives forever
Adwoa always wanted to get married ever since she was a young girl.
Before getting into a relationship with her bae Kwaku, the lady lived with another man and the two had seven kids together.
Kwaku also had an ex who bore him four beautiful children but the two were not legally married.
After leaving their partners, the two lovebirds fell in love and lived in ‘sin’ for 25 years before deciding to make things official.
Their wedding day which was marked by pomp and colour caught the attention of thousands on social media.
Just a single photo of the memorable ceremony left people believing that true love surely exists.
All those who had given hope on one day finding their soulmates promised to wait a little longer so love can come their way.
Not age, nor circumstances hindered these two from keeping their promise and professing their love to each other.
