23,832 PVCs lost in Sokoto ~ INEC Official Revealed

A total of 23,832 Permanent Voter’s Cards have been reported lost in Sokoto State, the Independent National Electoral Commission of Nigeria has revealed.
Those who lost their PVCs included 17,239 males and 6,593 females.
INEC Administrative Secretary in the state, Yunus Jika Kura, disclosed this to Daily Trust.
He also revealed that from a consignment of 62,222 PVCs which the INEC received in the state, 29,803 had been collected. He said 21,185 were for males and 8,618 for females.
He noted that 32,419 PVCs were yet to be collected.
He said adequate arrangements were made for the just-concluded voter registration exercise.
He said: “We did all we could to see that all capturable people were captured in our data before the end of the exercise. We increased the number of centres from 23 to 40 in the state and there were three to six computers per centre.”
