Professor David Bamgbose, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) in Ogun State is dead.
NAIJA LIVE TV learned that Prof. Bamgbose, a former member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), died on Friday at the Sacred Heart hospital, Lantoro, Abeokuta, after a brief illness. He was 54.
His death was confirmed by one of his aides, Oduntan Olayemi.
“He complained of tiredness yesterday and we decided to take him to the hospital,” Olayemi said.
“I was at where I went to get him some prescribed medication that he has passed on.”
The deceased is survived by his wife, Mary Bamgbose and six children.
Condolence messages have been pouring in on social media following the demise of the governorship hopeful.
