The Deputy National Chairman on Communication and Publicity in the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Campaign Council for Edo election, Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon, has expressed confidence that the party’s candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, will satisfy the yearnings of the people of Edo State for good leadership.

He said this on Monday at the inauguration of the State Media Campaign Council which has Mr. John Mayaki as its Chairman.

Hon. Obahiagbon claimed that the failure of the incumbent Governor Godwin Obaseki has created a loud yearning in Edo State for good leadership which Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu is best primed to satisfy.

He also said the members of the media campaign council were selected on the account of their professional competencies and praised the successes the Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu Campaign Organisation has recorded.

While offering assurances of his confidence in the ability of the team, Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon said they will help the party emerge victorious at the polls in September.

The event was attended by numerous APC bigwigs in the state including the Deputy Director-General of the campaign organization and former Edo State deputy governor, Mr. Lucky Imasuen, Former Minority Whip of the House of Representatives, Hon. Samson Osagie, the immediate past Edo State Commissioner of Communication and Orientation, Mr. Paul Ohonbamu, Edo State APC Publicity Secretary, Mr. Chris Azebanwan.

Others present were Hon. Osaretin Edosonwan, a former Chairman of the Edo State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Godwin Erhahon, Mr. Tony Ikpasaja, Sule Aledeh, Iyobosa Uwugiaren, Joseph Omorotionwan, Thomas Imonokhe, Hon. Samson Osagie, Hon. Razaq Bello Osagie, Hon. Washington Osifo.

…Edo Decides 2020: APC Vows To Unseat Obaseki

Ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in Edo state, the All Progressives Congress (APC), has inaugurated a state media campaign team to help its candidate’s Osagie Ize-Iyamu’s governorship election bid.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Chairman of the Edo State (APC) Media Campaign Council for the Edo governorship election, John Mayaki, promised that the sitting Governor, Godwin Obaseki, and his team will be evicted from office by the people of the State come 19th of September 2020.

According to Mayaki, the inauguration of the state campaign council and its sub-committee will revamp the party’s governorship election campaign.

Further boasting of growing support for Ize-Iyamu his party’s candidate ahead of the Governorship elections, Mayaki disclosed that people across the 18 local government in the state have expressed a clear rejection for the state Governor who doubles as the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party across the state.

He said: “The inauguration of the media campaign council today heralds the commencement of another phase in what has been a very successful campaign thus far.

“Unsurprisingly, across the 18 LGAs of Edo State, the people have expressed a clear rejection of Governor Godwin Obaseki and his tax-collectors party. When an incumbent has nothing to show for his time in office for four years except ineffectual MOUs and name-calling, it is a no-brainer that he will be rejected at the polls.

“Our mandate is to continue to acquaint the people of Edo State with the SIMPLE agenda and the realistic plans of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to move Edo State forward by providing real jobs, true leadership, and a secured state to put an end to killings and kidnappings and attract investments.”

Mayaki has been appointed by the Chairman of the State Media Campaign Council by Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon who is the Deputy National Chairman on Media of the Ganduje-led APC National Campaign Council.

Present at the inauguration was the Deputy Director-General of the campaign organization and former Edo State deputy governor, Mr. Lucky Imasuen, Hon. Samson Osagie, Hon. Razaq Bello Osagie, Hon. Washington Osifo, Hon. Osaretin Edosonwan, the immediate past Edo State Commissioner of Communication and Orientation, Mr. Paul Ohonbamu.

Other notable persons at the inauguration include Edo State APC Publicity Secretary, Mr. Chris Azebanwan, a former Chairman of the Edo State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Godwin Erhahon, Dr. Tony Ikpasaja, Mr. Sule Aledeh, Mr. Iyobosa Uwugiaren, Hon.
