There was another twist to Sunday Igboho case on Wednesday as One Chance Robbers allegedly stole the Case File of their case
Lawyer to the DSS, Idowu Awo made this known to Justice Obiora Egwuatu in Abuja Wednesday.
Awo said his colleague who was coming to court with the case file was robbed in a vehicle belonging to robbers, commonly known as ‘one chance.’
He said the robbed lawyer also lost personal belongings.
He asked the Court for an adjournment of the case following the development.
The DSS is still holding two out of 12 of Igboho’s aides, ordered to be released by the court, after fulfilling bail conditions.
Lawyer to the aides Pelumi Olajengbesi had threatened last Friday, to sue the DSS DG, Magaji Bichi for contempt of court and possibly commit him to prison.
Meanwhile, the Lawyer of Igboho Aides reacted to the alleged incident saying it was ridiculous for the DSS to say they were robbed.
“We must stop this nonsense in this country. I am sick and tired. The Claim by DSS staff that they were robbed and case file missing on their way to court is ridiculous and shameful. If DSS can be robbed in the city of Abuja, what then is the faith of the common man. #Sickcountry.”
